Paris budget announced.

On Friday 13th January BF announced that: Following donations from the BF Charity and the Epee Club Charity, Senior Teams competing in Team events which contribute to FIE Senior Team World Rankings will have their entry fees reimbursed by British Fencing until the end of the Paris qualification cycle.

2022

Funding proposed for 2022 and pathway to Paris  totat of  £21000 to include :

1 Epee Coach Development  £1k - to upgrade 8 active Epee coaches to support ADP Pathway S/Junior/Cadet.

2 Team Travel Support to nearby European Junior Comps 

3 World Cup Entries for Senior Teams

4 WC entries for Junior Teams

5 Travel support for Physio/Medical for World Cup teams

6 Travel Expenses for Team coach to World Cups 

7 UK training camps for Seniors, Juniors & Cadets

8 Epee Club Cup admin fees to run comp at LPFC for 36 fencers.

Funding History - how the money was spent :

2022

Team entry paid. SWE  - D Lawson, L Sadler, S Sica, K Smith Taylor enter the first post covid competition for UK fencers - Tallin WCup. Field of 243.Susan Sica came 82nd in ind. Team fenced Romania (seeded16) and lost 45-32 but gained 8 points.
Team entry for SME paid at Berne WC in Dec 2021. First comp after covid. Ranked 25 out of 33 in round of 32 met young Ukrainian Team and lost 45/25.
