Covid-19 Update

At a very well attended (“there was nothing else to go to”) Committee meeting on Sunday 15 March, the feeling was we should hold the AGM as planned. What a difference a week makes. All members will be aware of current advice from HMG, and in the last few days messages have been received from both the Naval Club and the Hurlingham.

The AGM was to be held at the Naval Club on May 1st but the Club has now closed and will unable to host the event.  The Lansdowne has closed, too. The summer pools at Hurlingham have gone the same way. Hurlingham is now closed until June 1st (saying “for now”) and have recommended that all our summer fixtures are cancelled.  

So in summary all summer events of the Club are cancelled. However, should the situation change dramatically, then a late summer pool may be possible. Further, the Committee will consider holding an AGM in late October or November if circumstances permit.
