EC MEMBERS OUT IN FORCE AT GUILDFORD

EC members were out in force at the European 6 Weapon International Veterans Competition held at Guildford this weekend. A host of club members competed in the epee and foil events, while others were part of the organising committee, and others came along to watch.

Greg Alllen Gold Medal winner Cat 2 Men’s Epee

EC MEDAL WINNERS

Gold medal winners were Greg Allen in the Cat 2 (50+) age group men’s epee and Rob Brooks Cat 4 (70+) age group men’s epee.

Sue Brooks won a silver medal in the Cat 3 (60+) age group women’s foil and Steve Bateman won the bronze medal in the Cat 1 (40+) men’s epee.

Sue Brooks recieves the silver medal in the women’s Cat 3 (60+) foil.

Club members Malcolm Alton and Pat Casey refereed whilst Peter Huggins looked after the equipment and DT. Caryl Oliver in her role as President of European Veterans Fencing presented the trophies and Alda Millner-Barry supported the fencing.
