Evill 2020

Dear member,

Our final event of the 2019-20 season was held yesterday, with a small but perfectly formed group of 5 fencers contesting the Evill Cup in the sauna-like conditions of the Lansdowne Club. 

The pool consisted of Rob & Sue Brooks, birthday boy David Partridge, Anton Pollard and me - with the ‘bouches’ system in place.  After going around the group twice, after 8 fights each Rob and I were left with 1 defeat apiece and therefore fenced a barrage, which was won by myself. 

The fencers were joined by Pat Casey, Ken & Fran Pearman and Ian & Jean Hunter before lunch at the nearby Market Tavern.
