Inns of Court Gold Cup 2023

Saturday 13th May was supposed to be sunny and warm but turned out cool and overcast. This did not prevent a hardy band of members prepared to brave the cold and compete for the Inns of Court Gold Cup at the Hurlingham Club.

Andrew Brannon, Rob Brooks, Lawrence Burr, Alain Barbasiewicz and Alp Orge took to the piste for what was some very close and hotly contested fights to 10 hits - being decided before play started - Alain running out as overall winner. Supporting the fencers and refereeing were Pat Casey, Ian Hunter along with EC President David Partridge, Sue Brooks and presenting the trophy Pinar Orge.
