Marmalade 2021

On Saturday (21st), a goodly number of our club members with their significant others, braved the weather and the travails of the British motorway network and descended upon the village hall at Iffley for the Marmalade challenge. Following a delicious picnic lunch in the hall, the tables and chairs were cleared and Rob and Sue Brooks, Ralph Johnson, Nigel Fancourt, David Partridge, Neal Mallett and Ken Pearman took to the piste. 

After some very close fights refereed by Pat Casey, Neal and Nigel were without defeat until the final bout. Neal emerged victorious with our President David finishing in third place.  

Among those watching the fencing were club members: John Glasswell, Malcolm Fare, James Noel, Caryl Oliver and our host for the day Edmund Gray.
