Marmalade 2023

Saturday saw our EC final poule of the summer as EC members, family and guests joined Edmund for the Marmalade Trophy at the village hall in Iffley, Oxford. With the weather not playing ball, lunches and teas were taken indoors. So popular that places at the table were rationed. Sittings arranged.

 With five EC members, Rob Brooks, Neal Mallett, Nigel Fancourt, Ken Pearman, Steven Bateman along with guest fencer Howard West a poule of six fought some very close and intense bouts. Neal coming out as overall winner.

The bouts were refereed by Pat Casey, and time-keeper and poule sheet manager Sue Brooks.

  Spectating enthusiastically were; Barberine Mallett, Amanda Fancourt, Fran Pearman, Zoe and Eloise Bateman, Gabi Partridge and Malcolm Fare. Prizes were presented by our Hon president David Partridge and Edmund Gray.
