Members out in force at the British Veterans Fencing Age Group Competition.

Club members turned out in force at last weekends British Veteran Fencing (BVF) Age Group competition in Nottingham.

Leading the way in the Men’s Epee with Gold medals were Hugh Kernohan (cat 3, 60+) and Rob Brooks (cat 4 70+), Silver medal to Steven Bateman (cat 1, 40+) and a Bronze medal to Greg Allen (cat 2, 50+). In the Women’s Epee Sue Uff secured the Bronze medal in the cat 4, 70+ age group.

Also taking part in the competition were Men’s Epee: Stephen Domek (cat 2, 50+), Neale Thomas (cat 3, 60+) Nigel Fancourt (cat 3, 60+) and Lawrence Burr (cat 4, 70+). Women’s Epee: Sue Brooks and Mariette Mason (cat 3, 60+).

Club members were also in attendance, helping with the refereeing was Malcolm Alton and Peter Huggins in the armoury.
